Policy for waiving semester and final exams.

In order to promote attendance, Union High School will allow students to waive the semester and final exams if the following criteria are met:

Grade of A with no more than 3 absences
Grade of B with no more than 2 absences
Grade of C with no more than 1 absence

All absences count toward the above maximum absences except for absences for school activities or for religious reasons.

Students taking the AP exam may request a waiver outside the parameters of the above waiver policy - absences do not count against the waiver and students may still waive another exam (sophomores are normally only allowed to waive one exam per semester).  However, students with a grade average below 70% will be required to take the semester/final exams.

Students who are on campus must be in the classroom during the exam in spite of any waiver.
